ANIMAL OUTDOOR WATER FOUNTAIN
Two Squirrels, a Bird, and a Tipped Over Jar
A hollow tree stump with a clay jar tipped over at the top, water pouring from its mouth down through four rock basins. Two squirrels sit on the lower ledges and a small bird perches on a broken branch above. It is a scene rather than a single figure, and that is what separates it from most animal fountains.
The difference matters more than it sounds. A fountain with one animal on it is something you identify and walk past. Put three creatures at different heights around a spilled jar and the eye starts moving between them, working out what is happening. That movement is what holds attention, and it reads from across a garden where fur detail and whisker work would not.
Warm LEDs sit under each basin, so at night the light comes up through the falling water and the animals stay as dark shapes above it. At 30.1 inches on a 23.6 by 17.3 inch base it is a garden bed piece rather than a lawn centerpiece, meant to be come across rather than faced.
What Makes This Fountain Different
- Three creatures and a story, not one statue on a base. Most animal fountains give you a single figure, and a single figure is a thing you recognize once. Two squirrels on different ledges with a bird above them and a jar tipped over at the top implies something in progress, so people look for longer and often ask about it. The scene also reads at a distance, since the relationship between shapes is visible from much further away than any carved detail.
- Water starts from a spilled vessel, not from nowhere. The jar at the top explains the water. Fountains where the flow simply appears at the summit always look slightly mechanical up close. Giving it a source, even a fictional one, is what makes the whole piece read as a moment rather than as plumbing.
- Light under the basins, not on the animals. The LEDs sit beneath each rock pool, so after dark the water glows and the squirrels read as silhouettes. Lighting the figures directly would have made it a display. Lighting the water makes it a scene at dusk.
- Wide base for its height. 23.6 by 17.3 inches under a 30 inch piece is a generous footprint, which is why 28.6 pounds is enough to keep it steady on gravel or an uneven bed without anchoring.
A stepped trickle rather than a fall. Water leaves the jar as a defined pour and then works down four short drops between rock basins, so you hear a sequence of small arrivals rather than one continuous run. It is a close range sound that suits a bed you pass or a seating corner, and it will not carry across a lawn. How loud it seems will still shift with the water level and the surfaces around it, which is why a fixed decibel number would tell you nothing useful about your own garden.

Setup, Care, and Warranty
Setup and placement
Fill it, plug it in, done. No plumbing and nothing to bury. Set it level, since a tilted base sends the pour from the jar past the basin below rather than into it.
Place it where people come close. The squirrels, the bird, and the jar are the reason to own it, and none of that detail reads from the far end of a garden.
Water level and daily care
Keep enough water in the base to cover the pump so it never runs dry. Open pours lose more to evaporation and wind drift than water running down a surface, so check every few days in warm weather.
Clear leaves from the rock basins. On short falls a blocked basin sends water down the outside of the stump instead of to the next level.
Looking after the painted finish
The animals and the bark texture are painted resin, and years of unbroken sun will lift some depth out of the color, most visibly on the squirrels. A position with afternoon shade keeps it looking new longer. Clean with a soft cloth and keep harsh liquid cleaners off the paint.
Winter storage
Before hard freezes, drain the base and every basin completely, disconnect and store the pump indoors, and dry the piece out. Water standing in a rock pool through a freeze and thaw is what causes damage.

Questions Before You Choose
Where does it look right?
Garden beds with planting behind them, a woodland corner, beside a path, a family garden where a character piece is wanted. It needs green context to read as woodland. It does not suit a formal courtyard or a minimal patio, where sculpted animals look out of place regardless of quality.
How many animals are on it?
Two squirrels on the lower ledges and a small bird on the branch above. The product name mentions only the squirrels, so the bird is a detail people usually notice on delivery rather than before ordering.
Is it too much of a theme?
Worth being honest about. A fountain with three animals on it announces a subject, and that subject is what visitors see first. If you want water without a character, choose a rock or geometric design. If you want something children notice and guests comment on, this does exactly that.
Is it safe around children and pets?
Children are drawn to animal fountains, which is the appeal and the thing to plan for. Set it on a level solid surface out of the main running route, do not let children climb on the stump or pull at the figures, and run the cord along a bed edge so it will not catch a foot. The recirculating water is not intended for drinking.
