CASCADING GARDEN OUTDOOR FOUNTAIN
Four Bowls Set Into a Wall of Stacked Stone
Rough stone blocks stacked into a column, with four glazed bowls set into the face at alternating sides. Water tips from one bowl across to the next, crossing the stone rather than falling straight down it. The bowls are recessed into the stack rather than mounted on it, so they read as part of the wall instead of as attachments.
That recessed construction is what separates it from the usual bowl cascade. When bowls are bolted onto a column you see two objects, a support and some vessels. Set into the stonework they read as one thing, and the water appears to be coming out of the wall rather than being carried down it.
Warm LEDs sit inside each bowl, so after dark four pools of amber light step down the dark stone. At 28.3 inches on a 12.2 by 10 inch base it is a compact piece for a bed, a patio corner, or a doorway.
What Makes This Fountain Different
- Bowls set into the stone, not bolted onto it. Most bowl cascades mount the vessels on a column, and you can see where one ends and the other begins. Recessing them into the stacked stonework makes the piece read as a single wall with openings in it, which is a quieter and more considered effect. It also means the bowls are partly sheltered, so less water blows out of them on a breezy day.
- Alternating sides rather than a straight drop. Each bowl sits on the opposite side from the one above, so water crosses the face as it descends. You get more visible movement and a less repetitive sound than a straight stack produces.
- Warm light inside the bowls. The LEDs sit within the vessels rather than on the stone, so at night the lit points step down the face and the stack stays dark. Lighting the stone would have made it a display. Lighting the water makes it a wall with something happening in it.
- Compact at 28 inches. Small enough for a doorway, a bed that is already planted, or a patio corner, and light enough at 18 pounds for one person to move while deciding.
A stepped trickle with side to side movement. Because the bowls alternate, the falls land at different points rather than in one line, so the sound has more variation than a straight stack gives. It stays a close range sound suited to a doorway or a seating corner and will not carry across a garden. How loud it seems will still shift with the water level and the surfaces around it, which is why a fixed decibel number would tell you nothing useful about your own space.

Setup, Care, and Warranty
Setup and placement
Fill it, plug it in, done. One person can carry it at 18.1 pounds. Set it level, since bowls on alternating sides overshoot easily if the base is out of plumb.
Face the bowls toward where people sit or pass. From the back it reads as a plain stone stack.
Water level and daily care
Keep enough water in the base to cover the pump so it never runs dry. Four open bowls and a narrow base mean the level drops faster than on a large fountain, so check every few days in warm weather.
Clear leaves from the bowl rims. On an alternating design a blocked lip sends water past the bowl below rather than into it.
Looking after the finish
The glazed bowls and the stone texture carry the look, so wipe with a soft cloth and keep harsh liquid cleaners off. In hard water areas a pale film builds on the wet bowl rims and is easier to remove before it sets than after.
Winter storage
Before hard freezes, drain the base and every bowl completely, disconnect and store the pump indoors, and dry the piece out. At 18.1 pounds bringing it inside is straightforward and is the safest option.

Questions Before You Choose
Where does it fit?
A doorway, a patio corner, a bed that is already planted, beside a bench. The 12.2 by 10 inch base means it slots into places a wider fountain cannot. The stacked stone suits gravel, informal planting, and existing stonework.
Is it stable at 18 pounds?
On a level solid surface, yes. At 28.3 inches it is not especially tall, so the weight to height ratio is reasonable. An exposed windy corner is still worth avoiding, and it should sit on paving rather than soft soil.
How is it different from the other bowl cascades here?
Construction. Most mount bowls onto a column, so you see two separate elements. Here the bowls are recessed into stacked stonework, so the piece reads as a single wall with water emerging from it. It is also smaller than most, at 28.3 inches.
Is it safe around children and pets?
At 18.1 pounds it can be pushed over, so set it on a hard level surface out of the main running route, and do not let children pull on the bowls. Run the cord along a bed edge so it will not catch a foot. The recirculating water is not intended for drinking.
